ABSHERMETRICS — Privacy Policy
Effective June 11, 2026
AbsherMetrics ("the app") lets golfers store and analyze their launch-monitor shot data. This policy explains what we collect, how it's used, and how to delete it.
Information we collect
- Account: your email address. You can create an account with an email and password, or with Sign in with Google or Sign in with Apple. Passwords are stored securely (hashed) by our authentication provider; we never see the password to your Google or Apple account.
- Golf data you add: the shot and session data you upload or enter (ball speed, launch angle, spin, carry, etc.) and your club settings (lofts, in-bag).
- We do not collect location, contacts, advertising identifiers, or device sensors, and we do not use third-party advertising or analytics SDKs.
Sign in with Google & Apple
- If you choose Sign in with Google or Sign in with Apple, we receive only your email address and basic profile name from the provider, used solely to create and identify your account.
- We do not receive your provider password and we do not access anything else in your Google or Apple account.
- Apple lets you hide your email; if you do, we receive an anonymized Apple "private relay" address instead of your real one, and the app works exactly the same.
- If you sign in with a provider using the same email as an existing AbsherMetrics account, the two are linked to that single account — no duplicate is created.
How your data is used
- To provide the app: showing your bag, computing ball-flight, dispersion, and trends from your shots.
- Your raw shot and session data is private to your account; other users can never see your individual shots (enforced by database row-level security).
- Connections (optional): if you choose to connect with another player by email and publish your bag, that connection can see an aggregate summary only — per-club averages and average trajectories — never your individual shots. You control who you connect with and can remove a connection at any time.
- We do not sell your data or share it with third parties for marketing.
Where it's stored
Account and shot data are stored with Supabase (a hosted Postgres database and authentication service) on our behalf. Data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS).
Account & data deletion
Delete in the app: open Settings (the gear icon) → Delete account. This permanently and immediately deletes your account and all of your shots, sessions, and club settings. This cannot be undone.
Or request by email: email spencer.absher@gmail.com from your account email address and we will delete your account and data within 30 days.
We retain your data only while your account exists; deleting your account removes it.
Children
The app is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
We may update this policy; material changes will be reflected here with a new effective date.
